GPA = sum of (course grade points × credits) ÷ included credits. With all credits set to 1, each class counts equally. Set credits to 0 to exclude a class from overall GPA.
Fairfax’s middle and high school grading handbook explains school-specific grading rules. The default ten-point scale and the plus/minus scale here are selectable assumptions; use your own school’s published policy.
These are editable high school presets. University admissions rules are different and can restrict courses, years, or bonus points. This calculator does not implement those admissions rules.
Estimates use current unrounded class percentages. Ungraded or invalid classes and zero-credit classes are excluded from overall GPA. GPA is an estimate for the high school classes entered, not an official grade report, cumulative transcript GPA, or admissions recalculation. Match your high school’s cutoffs, bonuses, and credits. No rounding is applied before grade-to-GPA conversion.
